Did you know your Chromebook can boot up in just a few seconds? If you’re not taking advantage of that speed, you’re really missing out!

AI Agents Are Reading Your Docs. Are You Ready?

Last month, 48% of visitors to documentation sites across Mintlify were AI agents, not humans.

Claude Code, Cursor, and other coding agents are becoming the actual customers reading your docs. And they read everything.

This changes what good documentation means. Humans skim and forgive gaps. Agents methodically check every endpoint, read every guide, and compare you against alternatives with zero fatigue.

Your docs aren't just helping users anymore. They're your product's first interview with the machines deciding whether to recommend you.

That means: clear schema markup so agents can parse your content, real benchmarks instead of marketing fluff, open endpoints agents can actually test, and honest comparisons that emphasize strengths without hype.

Mintlify powers documentation for over 20,000 companies, reaching 100M+ people every year. We just raised a $45M Series B led by @a16z and @SalesforceVC to build the knowledge layer for the agent era.

Chromebooks and Chrome OS are all about speed and simplicity. With a lightweight operating system, these devices can handle everyday tasks like browsing, streaming, and even some light gaming without breaking a sweat. So, if you’re a Chromebook user, you might be wondering how to make the most of that snappy performance. Whether you need quick access to apps for work or just want to streamline your online experience, there’s plenty you can do to keep your Chromebook running smoothly.

Why You Should Care

As a Chromebook user, you want your device to be fast and responsive. Slow loading times can be a real pain, especially when you’re trying to get work done or enjoy a movie. By optimizing your Chromebook, you can boost your productivity and make your online experience way smoother. Plus, it’s all about getting the most out of the tech you’ve got. Who doesn’t want a device that keeps up with their pace?

Common Pitfalls

Look out for these common mistakes! Many users forget to keep their Chromebook updated, which can lead to performance hiccups. Also, running too many tabs at once can slow things down significantly. (Trust me, less is often more when it comes to multitasking on a Chromebook.)

How to Do It?

  1. Keep Your Chromebook Updated: Head over to Settings > About Chrome OS > Check for updates. Install any updates you see to get the latest features and security patches.

  2. Manage Your Extensions: Open Chrome, click on the three dots in the upper right corner, and select More Tools > Extensions. Disable or remove any extensions you don’t use regularly.

  3. Clear Your Cache: Go to Chrome Settings > Privacy and Security > Clear browsing data. Select Cached images and files, then hit Clear data to free up some space.

  4. Limit Open Tabs: Try to keep your open tabs to a minimum. If you need to save a page for later, just bookmark it instead.

  5. Use the Task Manager: Press Shift + Esc to open the Chrome Task Manager. This handy tool lets you see which tabs or extensions are hogging resources, so you can close them if needed.

Pro Tip

And here’s a little secret: you can enable “Lacros” to run your Chrome apps in a separate container, which can improve performance. Just head to chrome://flags and search for "Lacros." But be careful, this is an experimental feature!

  • Adjust Power Settings: Go to Settings > Device > Power and switch to “Better battery” for improved performance.

  • Use Offline Mode: Download apps and files for offline use to speed things up when you’re not connected to Wi-Fi.

  • Utilize Google Drive: Store files in the cloud to free up local storage, which can help your Chromebook run smoother.

Wrapping up!

At the end of the day, getting the best performance out of your Chromebook isn’t about doing anything complicated, it’s about staying consistent with the basics. Devices running Chrome OS are designed to be fast and efficient, but small habits like managing tabs, clearing cache, and keeping things updated can make a huge difference over time.

The good news? You don’t need to be a tech expert to keep things running smoothly. Just a few quick tweaks can turn a sluggish experience back into that lightning-fast performance Chromebooks are known for.

So, take a few minutes today, apply these tips, and enjoy a faster, cleaner, and more responsive device exactly how it’s meant to be.
